Introduction #
This setting applies to Microsoft 365 usage reports in the Microsoft 365 admin center, Microsoft Graph, Power BI, and the Microsoft Teams admin center. By default, reports conceal user information such as usernames, groups, and sites, but you can choose to display this information if necessary or required by your organization’s policies.

Admin Portal Reference #

To toggle anonymized reports in Microsoft 365 using the admin portal, follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center using your administrator account.
- On the home page, click the “Show all” button, expand “Settings” and then click “Org settings” in the menu.
- On the “Services” tab, click the “Reports” link.
- On the “Reports” fly-out, toggle the “Display concealed user, group, and site names in all reports” checkbox to toggle anonymised reports.
- Click “Save”

Parameters #
Conceal user information in reports – Yes/No
If set to yes, reports will be anonymised and user information such as usernames, groups, and sites are replaced with guids.
If set to no, user information such as usernames, groups, and sites will be displayed in reports.
If Action is set to Notify #
If the setting for concealing user information in reports at the tenant level matches the specified parameter value, it will be reported as “compliant.”
If the setting for concealing user information in reports at the tenant level does not match the specified parameter value, it will be reported as “non-compliant.”
If Action is set to Enforce #
If the setting for concealing user information in reports at the tenant level matches the specified parameter value, it will be reported as “compliant.”
If the setting for concealing user information in reports at the tenant level does not match the specified parameter value, the tenant-level setting will be automatically updated to match the parameter and will be reported as “compliant-fixed.”
