Introduction #
By default, when a user is granted access to another mailbox (delegator), whether it be another user mailbox or a shared mailbox, sent items are only saved in the sent items folder of the mailbox belonging to the delegated user (delegatee). In most cases, the desired behaviour is for the sent item to be stored in the sent items folder of both mailboxes.
Using this setting you can configure exchange mailboxes to automatically save sent items to both the user’s mailbox (delegatee) and the mailbox they are delegated access (delegator). The behaviour can be applied to both ‘Send as’ and ‘Send on behalf’ permissions.
Targets #
User Mailbox, Shared Mailbox
User Impact #
Low – When enabled, sent items will be saved to the sent items folder of both mailboxes. When disabled, sent items will only be saved in the sent items of the user’s mailbox and not the mailbox they have been delegated access to.
